Job summary

VELUX Group is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to anchor secure design across product development. You will combine hands-on security expertise with strategic leadership to raise secure engineering practices from concept to deployment, collaborating with software, IT, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 10+ years of cybersecurity experience across embedded, cloud, and mobile environments.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, IAM, encryption, and threat modelling.

Responsibilities

• Drive secure-by-design practices across embedded, cloud and mobile technologies.
• Lead security risk assessments, design reviews and technical assurance activities.
• Embed DevSecOps principles, security tooling and secure development practices.
• Translate regulatory and industry frameworks into scalable operational practices.
• Build cyber security capability through coaching, collaboration and Security Champion initiatives.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen governance and maturity.
