Job summary

Westernacher Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP TM Consultant to lead end-to-end SAP transportation management implementations in international environments. You will own all configuration, design robust logistics solutions, and collaborate with customers and project teams to translate business needs into solid SAP solutions.

The role requires 9–10+ years in SAP TM, strong cross-module experience, and proven pre-sales capabilities.

Qualifications

• 9–10+ years of SAP TM experience.
• 4 full-cycle SAP implementations demonstrated.
• Cross-module logistics and solution design knowledge.
• Strong configuration and architectural mindset.
• Proven consulting and stakeholder management, including C-level.
• Experience across multiple industries in logistics/transportation.
• Pre-sales and business development experience an advantage.
• Willingness to travel per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP TM transformations within a project team.
• Own all technical/functional config and integrations as lead expert.
• Design SAP TM processes including customizing, docs, testing.
• Integrate with ERP, EWM, GTS, EM modules.
• Lead customer workshops and blueprint work.
• Prepare functional specs and conduct testing.
• Support go-live and stabilization with new transport processes.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities.

Job description

You work on SAP consulting projects focused on logistics and transportation, designing and implementing solutions based on SAP Transportation Management. You take ownership of defined work streams and contribute to high‑quality, end‑to‑end SAP implementations in international project environments. You collaborate closely with customers and project teams to translate business needs into robust SAP solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP TM transformations within a consultant project team
• Take ownership of all technical and functional aspects of configuration and related integration elements as the lead configuration expert
• Deliver SAP TM process design solutions incl. customizing, documentation and testing
• Integration with other SAP Modules (ERP, EWM, GTS, EM)
• Lead customer workshops
• Prepare blueprint and functional specifications
• Take part in test conduction process and go-live
• Prepare new SAP systems for go-live; support new transportation processes & resolve issues as part of the stabilization period
• Participate in pre-sales activities

Your Skills And Experience

• Minimum 9–10+ years of relevant experience in SAP Transportation Management
• Proven track record in leading complex SAP transformation projects
• Functional and/or technical proficiency with at least 4 full-cycle SAP implementations
• Strong cross-module expertise to design robust end-to-end logistics solutions
• Strong configuration and solution design skills with a holistic architectural mindset
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, including C‑level interaction
• Experience working across multiple industries with a good understanding of logistics and transportation processes
• Strong experience in pre‑sales and business development activities
• Strategic thinking combined with strong project and solution leadership capabilities
• SAP certifications in TM are an advantage
• Experience in Public Cloud is an advantage
• Experience with SAP’s integration and transformation toolchain, such as Signavio, LeanIX, SAP Cloud ALM, and WalkMe
• Strong commitment to knowledge sharing, mentoring, and building organizational capabilities
• Designs AI‑enabled SAP solutions conceptually (e.g. process automation, embedded AI, analytics)
• Evaluates AI use cases, risks, and governance with customers

• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem‑solving skills
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality results and support client outcomes
• Willingness to travel depending on project requirements
