Job summary

Next Ventures seeks an experienced Freelance SAP PP Consultant to support a major SAP S/4HANA migration and global rollout for a Danish manufacturing group. The role covers production planning, MRP, and shop-floor execution, with collaboration across MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM and FI/CO. Danish/Nordics exposure is advantageous; English required.

The engagement is 6–12 months, remote/hybrid with some onsite in Denmark, and entails end‑to‑end delivery from fit-gap through go‑live and post‑go‑live support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP PP consulting experience.
• Experience in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations and rollout projects.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, capacity planning and production execution.
• Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM and FI/CO.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing or engineer‑to‑order environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PP functional activities across the SAP S/4HANA migration and rollout programme, including fit-gap analysis, process design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Configure and support end-to-end Production Planning processes, including MRP, production orders, BOMs, work centres, routings, capacity planning and shop-floor execution.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and SAP teams across MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM and FI/CO to ensure integrated end-to-end manufacturing processes.
• Support data migration, functional specifications, integrations, testing, defect resolution, cutover and go-live/post-go-live support.
• Support the rollout of the S/4HANA solution across additional sites, helping standardise manufacturing processes while accommodating local business requirements.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Freelance SAP PP Consultant to support a major SAP S/4HANA migration and subsequent rollout programme for a leading manufacturing organisation headquartered in Denmark.

The consultant will play a key role in analysing existing production planning processes, supporting the migration to S/4HANA, and subsequently helping roll out the global template to additional sites across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on SAP PP experience within a manufacturing environment, with experience across production planning, MRP and manufacturing execution. Experience working on S/4HANA transformation and rollout projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience

• 5+ years of SAP PP consulting experience, with strong hands‑on configuration and end-to-end production planning expertise.
• Proven experience delivering SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration or transformation projects, with subsequent rollout experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, work centres, capacity planning and production execution.
• Experience integrating SAP PP with MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM and FI/CO, ideally within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience in discrete manufacturing, industrial machinery, engineering, make-to-order (MTO) or engineer-to-order (ETO) environments is highly desirable.
