Job summary

Jack & Jones Brande is seeking a data-driven Business Controlling professional to translate financial performance into actionable insights. You will partner with Retail Managers across markets, using data to drive better store results and optimize budgeting.

The role requires 2+ years in business controlling, a degree in finance or economics, advanced Excel, SAP experience, and fluent English. Travel about 20 days/year and Brande workplace.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience from a similar role in business controlling and data analysis to support decisions.
• Degree in finance, economics or business administration.
• Excellent Excel skills; experience operating finance systems (SAP).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse P&L performance, identifying risks, opportunities and key drivers.
• Own and drive budgeting and financial planning across several markets.
• Monitor staff costs and identify opportunities to optimise staffing and expenditure.
• Follow up on KPIs, budgets and commercial initiatives.
• Develop and implement cost-control initiatives to improve store performance.
• Provide markets with relevant analysis and data for daily, weekly and monthly follow-up.
• Prepare performance insights for meetings with international retail teams.
• Develop and follow up on sales initiative reporting.

YOUR TEAM

You’ll join our Retail department at JACK & JONES headquarters in Brande. We’re more than 35 colleagues working across retail operations, planning, buying, visual merchandising, store development and digital initiatives.
Together, we support a retail business of more than 1,000 stores and continuously look for ways to improve how we operate and perform. You’ll work in an international environment with close collaboration across functions and markets, plenty of pace and colleagues who are serious about results while enjoying the work along the way.

YOUR JOB

Working closely with our Business Controlling Manager, you’ll help turn financial performance into clear actions across the more than 750 stores we operate ourselves. You’ll collaborate closely with Retail Managers in our international markets, using data and commercial insight to identify where we can improve results.

More specifically, you will:

• Monitor and analyse P&L performance, identifying risks, opportunities and key business drivers

YOUR PROFILE

You’re analytical and structured, but numbers alone aren’t enough for you. You want to understand what drives them and what we should do next. You communicate clearly, build relationships easily across functions and markets, and are comfortable presenting your findings and recommendations. You enjoy a fast-moving environment and naturally look for ways to make things work better.

In addition, you have the following qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience from a similar role, working with business controlling and data analysis to support business decisions
• Degree in finance, economics or business administration
• Excellent skills in Excel
• Experience operating finance systems (we use SAP)
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

TRAVEL ACTIVITY: Approximately 20 days a year.
WORKPLACE: Brande, Denmark.
