Job summary

AbbVie seeks an Operational Manager, Research and Operations to support the Scandinavia research portfolio. You will liaise with Study Leads, Medical Affairs and external partners to drive efficient, compliant study processes from development to completion.

Based in Copenhagen or Stockholm, you will navigate complex regulatory requirements and lead cross-functional teams to optimize evidence generation and dissemination across the affiliate network.

Qualifications

• Scientific background and relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with scientific publications, drug development, clinical research, and registry studies.
• Current knowledge of regulations governing clinical research (ICH/GCP) and other applicable rules.
• Strong commitment to compliance, scientific quality, and research integrity.
• Fluency in one Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional settings.
• Clear, confident communication and strong planning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
• Experience leading change management and implementing new ways of working.
• Independent work ethic with the ability to contribute to a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to identify opportunities for real-world data addressing local evidence gaps.
• Partner with Study Leads to manage affiliate research projects and datasets.
• Manage projects from planning through completion, including documentation and budget oversight.
• Guide contract negotiations, invoice management, and vendor selection.
• Guide the publication process and publication plans.
• Provide scientific, operational and clinical research guidance while ensuring compliance.
• Contribute to improved processes and cross-functional collaboration across Scandinavia.
