University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant in the Department of Clinical Research and the Research Unit of Inflammation Research, Department of Molecular Medicine. The position is limited to one year with possible extension and PhD progression subject to funding and admission requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant bioscience field.
• Strong interest in mucosal biology and translational biomedicine.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain patient-derived intestinal organoids and co-cultures.
• Design and perform functional assays for epithelial regeneration and inflammatory responses.
• Apply qPCR, immunostaining, microscopy and flow cytometry.
• Support single-cell and spatial transcriptomic/epigenomic studies.
• Contribute to CRISPR-based genetic engineering when applicable.
• Collaborate with clinicians, bioinformaticians and translational researchers.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to protocol development and reporting.
