Job summary

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is seeking an Equipment Value Engineer to lead cost-out initiatives for offshore wind power equipment. You will bridge Product Management and Platform Management to translate strategic goals into actionable, cost-effective solutions.

You will drive should-cost analyses, manage complex projects end-to-end, and collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to optimize supplier costs and material choices.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced experience in value engineering, mechanical product design, or cost engineering.
• Strong capability in business case development, NPV modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
• Proven experience in cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and implementing design-to-cost strategies.
• Ability to manage complex projects independently from concept to execution, with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Equipment Cost Out portfolio and COP programs for DD & NG platforms, Black Zero & Beyond, and pipeline management.
• Ensure governance and execution tracking with a monthly/quarterly reporting cadence to maintain and grow the value pipeline.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to evaluate supplier capabilities and alternative material costs.
• Conduct should-cost analyses and lead DFM and DFA reviews on both new and existing products.
• Develop and present comprehensive business cases for proposed design changes, detailing potential savings, implementation costs, and technical risks.
