Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking an Equipment Value Engineer to drive cost-out initiatives for offshore wind power equipment. You will lead COP programs, develop business cases, and collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to optimize material costs.

The role focuses on design-to-cost strategies and long-term profitability, bridging Product Management and Platform Management to meet aggressive cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Advanced experience in value engineering, mechanical product design, or cost engineering.
• Strong capability in business case development, NPV modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
• Proven experience in cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and design-to-cost strategies.
• Ability to manage complex projects independently with stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Equipment Cost Out portfolio, managing COP Programs for DD & NG platforms, Black Zero & Beyond, and pipeline management.
• Ensure governance and execution tracking with a consistent reporting cadence (monthly/quarterly).
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to evaluate supplier capabilities and material costs.
• Conduct should-cost analyses and lead DFM and DFA reviews on new and existing products.
• Develop and present business cases for design changes, detailing potential savings, costs, and risks.
