Job summary

UNFPA seeks an Inventory Accounting and Control Assistant consultant to support daily operations and apply inventory control methods. You will work within the SCMU and coordinate with HQ, regional and country offices and external partners to ensure accurate recording in the ERP system.

The role emphasizes compliance with UNFPA inventory policies, preparation of performance reports, and support for governance and resource mobilization activities. Based in Copenhagen with remote options.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education is required.
• Bachelor level degree in accounting, Finance, SCM, Business Admin or related field is an asset.
• CIPS/CILT Level 3 certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory accounting and control to achieve accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform cost accounting reviews and ensure proper ERP recording of inventory transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UNFPA inventory policies across country offices.
• Assist with inventory write-offs and period end/ year end processes.
• Prepare inventory management performance reports and propose improvements.
• Support governance, risk, compliance and reporting activities.
