Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a traveled Refrigeration Technician to support large installations worldwide. You will supervise troubleshooting, monitor equipment, and oversee start-ups, often traveling up to 160 days annually across Denmark and internationally.

Between assignments, you join our Technical Support team, delivering remote guidance to customers and technicians from home, while collaborating with an international network of engineers from our Aarhus headquarters.

Qualifications

• Background in Refrigeration Technician or Engineer with a D certification for unlimited refrigerant charges.
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Analytical and methodical problem-solving approach.
• Strong networking skills and ability to build partnerships.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) and solid IT skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Interest in international travel up to 160 days/year while remotely supporting the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, heat pumps, and control systems.
• Monitor and repair refrigeration and heating equipment to maintain performance.
• Oversee commissioning and start-up of plants.
• Act as site supervisor for plant upgrades and retrofits.
• Support and advise customers on optimal operation of installations.
• Provide remote technical support to customers and service teams between travel assignments.
• Prepare high-quality service reports and documentation.

You’ll primarily travel independently, collaborating closely with local technicians whom you will mentor, while being backed by a robust team of engineers and professionals at our Aarhus headquarters.

Between travel assignments, you will be an integrated part of our Technical Support team, working remotely from your home. In this role, you will provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to customers, service technicians, and colleagues, helping to resolve complex refrigeration challenges across our global customer base. • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems.

• A positive, responsible, and service‑oriented mindset with a focus on communication, cooperation, safety, and quality.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, and solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license (Category B).
• A genuine interest in international travel of up to 160 days per year while remaining actively engaged with the support team when working remotely.

• Specialized education in refrigeration technology, energy optimization, or mechanical engineering.
