Job summary

Interhuman AI is building the next generation of multimodal social intelligence infrastructure. We’re seeking an AI Scientist to lead the development of models that capture social and emotional signals in real time from live conversations.

You’ll design, train, and iterate speech and language models, own the full lifecycle from data to production, and collaborate with engineering to meet real-time latency and scalability goals. A PhD and strong PyTorch expertise are expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field with focus on speech processing and/or NLP.
• Track record of building and shipping models; publications are valued but practical impact matters.
• Strong proficiency in Python and deep experience with PyTorch (or JAX/TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with current speech and multimodal models (Whisper, audio-LLMs, speech encoders, vision-language models).
• Thrive with ambiguity; able to scope work, prioritize ruthlessly, and ask for input when needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and iterate on speech and language models that extract social and emotional signals from live conversation.
• Own the full model development lifecycle—from data curation and architecture design through training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Build evaluation frameworks and benchmarks that capture subtleties of human interaction beyond standard metrics.
• Stay at the frontier of multimodal research and translate advances into production stack.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure models meet real-time latency and scalability requirements.
