Job summary

Weibel Scientific in Denmark is seeking a System Safety Engineer to shape the safety of our advanced radar systems. You will work with requirements and configuration across subsystems, collaborating with engineering teams to meet overall system safety goals.

You'll perform risk assessments per MIL882E and ISO12100, conduct FMEA/FTA/HAZOP analyses, ensure CE and defense guidelines compliance, and integrate safety features from early design stages. Travel up to 10–20 days per year.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Software or Electrical Engineering).
• Experience in defense or highly regulated industries with safety requirements.
• Strong systems engineering mindset with focus on safety at system level.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in ensuring that the development of individual sub-systems complies with the overall system safety requirements.
• Work in a structured and systematic manner, keeping a clear overview of requirements, risks, and dependencies.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver according to deadlines and quality standards.
• Perform risk assessments per MIL882E and ISO12100 to identify hazards.
• Conduct safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, HAZOP) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with CE and defense‑specific guidelines and integrate safety design early.
• Collaborate with design and ITV teams for testing and documentation of safety plans.
