Qualifications

  • Coordinate calibration activities with accredited external partners.
  • Lead procurement of new equipment (requirements, vendor selection, contracts).
  • Maintain equipment lifecycle documentation and calibration certificates.
  • Drive continuous improvements in lab workflows, organization, and efficiency.
  • Act as main point of contact for all laboratory- and test-related matters.
  • Support engineers during test activities when equipment issues arise.
  • Provide leadership and coaching for laboratory staff.

Do you have strong experience managing electronics and RF laboratory equipment and test environments?

Weibel is a rapidly growing, family-owned technology company united by a passion for advanced radar technology and long-term success. We are looking for an experienced R&D Laboratory & Equipment Manager to support and enable efficient testing across our R&D organization.
You will join our Integration, Test & Verification function and be the technical lead for a newly established laboratory team. This is a unique opportunity to build structures and processes, that ensures our engineers always have reliable, safe, and fit for purpose test equipment.

The Role

Our radar systems span multiple engineering disciplines, including power electronics, mechanics, analogue and digital electronics, RF and microwave design. This complexity requires state-of-the-art test equipment, structured lab operations, and close collaboration across R&D, production, and aftermarket teams.
As R&D Laboratory & Equipment Manager, you will be the primary owner of laboratory equipment, facilities, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability, functionality, safety, and compliance of R&D laboratory and test site equipment and facilities
  • Plan preventive maintenance, calibration, repairs, and replacements
  • Coordinate calibration activities with accredited external partners
  • Lead procurement of new equipment (requirements, vendor selection, contracts)
  • Maintain equipment lifecycle documentation, maintenance records, and calibration certificates

Your Profile

You bring several years of experience managing advanced electronics and RF/MW laboratories and test equipment, combined with strong people and stakeholder management skills.

Your qualifications include:

  • Engineering degree in electronics or similar technical background preferred
  • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator, able to collaborate across engineering disciplines and departments
  • Analogue, digital, and RF/MW electronics
  • RF/MW and electronics laboratory environments
  • Calibration processes and measurement instrumentation
  • R&D test setups and equipment management
  • Equipment procurement and vendor management

You excel at building structure and maintaining overview in complex environments and thrive in a matrix organization where collaboration and mutual respect are key.
