Job description

Turn data into trades - and insight into impact.

We are looking for an ambitious Quantitative Trader to join our expanding Quantitative Trading team at InCommodities Asset Management. In this role, you will be part of our daily trading operations and actively participate in moving the green transition forward. From day one, you'll use your skills to execute and enhance our trading strategies, creating meaningful impact and helping us advance our mission to become the leading force in Asset management.

Sounds like your kind of challenge? Then keep reading.

Where We're Headed

At InCommodities Asset Management, our mission is clear: to accelerate the green transition by making renewable energy investments attractive and bankable.

As an independent company based in Aarhus, Denmark, we combine full autonomy with a sharp commercial focus on asset trading and optimization. The results speak for themselves: we already manage a significant renewable capacity across 3 markets with a team of just 50+ ambitious professionals. In 2026 we launched our fixed-price PPA portfolio, contracted our first batteries and entered a new market. And we're only getting started: We are on track to more than triple our portfolio for 2027, expand to more markets and welcome the first offshore wind park to our portfolio.

This is your chance to join a company that has already proven its approach to success, yet is still at the beginning of its journey, with the ambition to become Europe's leading renewable asset management company. You'll help shape that growth from the ground up, with real responsibility, real impact, and plenty of room to grow.

Ready to rethink the future of energy with us?

What you'll do

You'll join a team of ambitious and skilled traders, working together to trade and optimize our renewables portfolio around the clock. You'll take part in our daily operations, keeping a close eye on market movements and algorithmic performance to ensure our strategies stay sharp and effective. Over time, you'll play a key role in shaping our trading setup and developing innovative approaches that strengthen our market position. Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Drive profitability by owning the execution of manual and automated trading strategies in the day-ahead and intraday markets
  • Participate in the shift rotation (including weekend shifts)
  • Work with and improve our trading algorithms, identify risks and optimize execution
  • Develop into a domain expert within relevant markets and products
  • Contribute to the growth of our trading desk across products, technologies and geographies
What you bring
  • 0-2 years of professional experience within trading or similar
  • Background in a relevant study field (Finance, Economics, etc.)
  • A competitive mindset ready to perform, learn fast, and take responsibility
  • Interest in data analysis and predictive modelling
  • Basic coding knowledge, preferably in Python
  • You're fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • You're based in or willing to relocate to Aarhus, Denmark
How you work
  • You're driven by performance and take pride in delivering strong results - individually and as a team
  • You prefer and appreciate direct, honest and constructive ways of communication and collaboration
  • You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced trading environment
  • You're self-motivated with a can-do attitude in your work
  • You have a curious and open mindset towards different tasks and challenges
  • You're a team player who will do what is best for the team and InCommodities Asset Management
What you can expect
  • A tech-driven scale-up company, which challenges how energy assets are traded and optimized
  • A great start-up environment with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility to drive real impactCurious, ambitious and bold people who come together to rethink what's possible
  • A unique company culture where we live up to our values: Honesty, Transparency, and Rethink
  • Flat hierarchy - no dress code, no meaningless bureaucracy
