Job summary

Bavarian Nordic is seeking a QC Manager to lead and develop a microbiology team, ensuring reliable daily operations and strict adherence to cGMP. You will coordinate priorities across QC and manufacturing, promoting data integrity and continuous improvement in a busy vaccine production environment.

You will apply a people-focused leadership approach, balance timely delivery with compliance, and build engagement while advancing digital lab tools and quality systems.

Qualifications

• A relevant scientific degree and experience from a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment, preferably within QC microbiology.
• Leadership experience from QC, a laboratory or a similar operational area is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of cGMP, data integrity and Quality Management Systems, and confidence working with digital laboratory tools such as LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team with clear expectations, feedback and coaching.
• Ensure reliable daily operations with workload, sample flow and risk oversight.
• Maintain quality and drive process improvements across the sample lifecycle.
• Collaborate with QC and manufacturing to align testing priorities with production needs.
• Leverage data and digital tools to improve transparency and reduce lead times while upholding quality.
