Job summary

MSL Engineering Ltd is seeking a QA/QC Project Lead in Denmark to ensure on-site quality compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards. This role leads QC inspectors and coordinates with PM, document control and engineers to achieve project quality goals.

The successful candidate will oversee NDT, welding test packs and the maintenance of QA records, WPQR/WPS/WQT, and ensure timely documentation uploads.

Qualifications

  • Experience ensuring on-site quality aligns with laws, guidelines and client specs.
  • Knowledge of company quality manuals and current regulations.
  • Proactive methods for preventing quality deficiencies on site.
  • Ability to coordinate QA/QC activities with PM, document control and engineers.
  • Familiarity with ITP, CQP and site SOPs and sign-off inspections.
  • Ability to manage training and quality competency per role.
  • Experience leading QC inspectors and QA/QC engineers.
  • Knowledge of NDT, PED requirements and welding QA.

  • Provide necessary GDP training and manage quality competency per role.
  • Manage QC Inspectors and QA/QC Engineers.
  • Oversee NDT/test/PED requirements per system and weld histories.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all quality requirements and the project quality will be in compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, standards, regulations & Client specifications on site
  • Ensure that the Company Quality manuals with current regulations applicable to relevant tasks are met
  • Early detection, elaboration of methods & continuous improvements to prevent all products & processes on site against qualitative deficiencies
  • Liaise with the Project Manager / Turnover Lead / Document Controller / Supervisors / Engineers to ensure that activities & roles that may influence quality including document control, quality control, material control and engineering operate to the project requirements
  • Ensure that the approved ITP / CQP / site specific SOP's are adhered to (including those belonging to sub-contractors) and that the inspections are signed-off
  • Ensure that the necessary training including GDP is available and that quality competency per role is managed
  • Management of the QC Inspector(s) / QAQC Engineer(s)
  • Oversee the Client specified NDT / test / PED requirements per system
  • Oversee the recording of weld histories (WHS) for inclusion within piping test packs
  • Preparation & verification of site & product documentation, according to Client requirements, in an accurate and timely manner and uploaded to the agreed platform
  • Ensure that necessary items are available to complete each work phase
  • Oversee that the correct quality checks are completed e.g., NDT; DFT checks
  • Verify Sub-contractor quality items are as specified to Client requirements - monitor how their quality control is conducted
  • Co-ordinate all QA / QC activities / correspondence with the project Client QC representative
  • Monitor the welding, testing & scope of testing according to requirements of quality documentation
  • Maintenance of records, interpretation of test results and proper reaction if deviations occur
  • Ensure WPQR's, WPS's & WQT (matrix), calibration records (gauge / weld plant / digi-levels, etc) and material certifications MTR's are valid
  • Maintain the various matrices - training, lessons learnt, calibrations, welding, etc
  • Collate data for the population of key KPIs (e.g. welds / repairs; NDT stats; status of test packs / walkdowns / punches / NCRs), benchmarks, FOKs, samples of the required levels of quality are set-up prior to any new activity & communicated to & understood by Supervisors
  • Monitor & track QC progress through the Project life cycle
  • Maintain an audit schedule & implementation of same
  • Lead internal quality audits, attend client quality audits and drive close out of actions associated with audits
  • Monitor issued NCR dispositions / action & close of Client complaints
  • Any other task that may be requested / delegated by the Project Manager
  • Knowledge of piping isometrics & P&IDs is essential
