AXON Networks in Copenhagen seeks a mid-level Python back-end developer to build production-grade services and APIs. You will design modular components, integrate databases, and work with AI-assisted coding tools to ensure secure, maintainable code.

You will review code, maintain comprehensive tests with pytest, and collaborate in a hybrid environment. Proficiency in FastAPI, Docker, and Git is required, with a focus on scalable, type-safe solutions.

We are looking for a mid-level Python developer with strong software-engineering fundamentals and experience building production backend systems.

You should be comfortable designing, testing, and maintaining Python applications independently, while using LLM-assisted coding tools critically and responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Build asynchronous Python services and FastAPI-based APIs
• Design modular, loosely coupled components with clear responsibilities
• Integrate databases, APIs, and external services
• Develop agentic applications using frameworks such as OpenAI Agents SDK or Pydantic AI
• Write type-safe, well-tested, maintainable code
• Review both human-written and AI-generated code

Required Experience

• Strong Python and asyncio knowledge
• Experience with FastAPI and API design

• Ability to assess AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and architectural fit

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or document databases
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy or asynchronous database drivers
• Experience with MCP, A2A, or similar AI integration protocols
• Familiarity with LLM observability platforms and CI/CD pipelines
