AXON Networks is seeking a mid-level Python developer to build asynchronous services and FastAPI-based APIs. You will design modular components, integrate databases and external services, and work with agentic AI frameworks.

The role emphasizes type safety, testing, and code reviews, with Docker containerization and Git-based collaboration. The ideal candidate has strong Python asyncio skills, experience with FastAPI, and a mindset for modular design and maintainable architectures.

We are looking for a mid-level Python developer with strong software-engineering fundamentals and experience building production backend systems.

You should be comfortable designing, testing, and maintaining Python applications independently, while using LLM-assisted coding tools critically and responsibly.

• Understanding of tool calling, structured outputs, context management, guardrails, and evaluation
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
• Ability to assess AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and architectural fit

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or document databases
• Familiarity with SQLAlchemy or asynchronous database drivers
