Job summary

ABENA in Denmark is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator for the Protective Wear category. You will help ensure compliant product data, robust documentation, and audit-ready outputs across the supply chain.

In collaboration with the Category Manager and Product Manager, you will maintain master data, review technical documentation, evaluate certificates against standards, and follow up with suppliers to close gaps.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or compliance is an advantage but not required.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and takes ownership of tasks.
• Fluent in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product creation and maintenance of master data.
• Review extensive technical documentation for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate test reports, lab results, and certificates against applicable standards (MDR, PPE, REACH, EN/ISO).
• Identify gaps and non-conformities; define and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding product questions.
• Apply structured, audit-ready documentation following internal procedures and regulatory expectations.

As a Purchasing Coordinator and a part of the Protective Wear team, you play a key role in securing that our products are always compliant. You ensure stable processes, high data quality, and effective collaboration across the organization. You will work closely with the Category Manager and Product Manager while ensuring that product data, documentation, and regulatory requirements are managed accurately and consistently.

To be successful, you combine a service-minded and proactive approach with a strong attention to detail. You understand that commercial success depends on reliable product information, robust documentation, and regulatory compliance, and you take ownership of ensuring that our products are always supported by accurate, audit-ready documentation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for product creation and maintenance of master data
• Review of extensive technical documentation ensuring completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate test reports, laboratory results, and certificates against applicable standards and legal requirements (e.g. MDR, PPE, FCM, REACH, product-specific EN/ISO standards)
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and non-conformities, and ensure corrective actions are defined and implemented
• Follow up with suppliers regarding product questions, etc.
• Apply a structured and systematic approach to documentation, following internal procedures and regulatory expectations, ensuring reliable and audit-ready outputs
