Job summary

Zenvo Automotive is seeking a motivated Purchaser / Technical Buyer to join the growing Purchasing team. The role focuses on sourcing and purchasing components and materials for the development and production of hypercars, working with Engineering, Production and Logistics.

The successful candidate will manage supplier relations, understand component specifications and help drive pricing, lead times and delivery reliability as Zenvo scales its manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or technical buying within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• ERP purchasing systems experience; Dynamics 365 BC is a plus.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase components, materials and services for vehicle development and production.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and organised Purchaser / Technical Buyer to join our growing Purchasing team at Zenvo Automotive.

The role will focus on sourcing and purchasing components and materials required for the development and production of our hypercars, working closely with suppliers and colleagues across Engineering, Production and Logistics.

As Zenvo continues to grow, we are developing the systems and processes needed to support consistent vehicle production. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with technical products, takes pride in getting things organised and wants to help us build a reliable purchasing operation.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with purchasing experience, a practical approach to problem solving and the willingness to get involved as our business develops.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing and Supplier Coordination

• Source and purchase components, materials and services required for vehicle production and development.
• Obtain supplier quotations, compare options and support commercial negotiations.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding order status, delivery dates and outstanding requirements.
• Follow up on orders and help resolve delays or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, lead‑time and purchasing information within Business Central.

Technical Purchasing

• Work with Engineering to understand component specifications and technical purchasing requirements.
• Support the sourcing of new components and suppliers as our vehicle programmes develop.
• Coordinate technical questions between suppliers and the relevant Engineering teams.
• Assist with purchasing updates following engineering changes or component revisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve component pricing, availability and supply arrangements.

Production and Material Support

• Work closely with the Materials Planning Lead to understand purchasing requirements and production priorities.
• Ensure purchasing activities support agreed material need dates and vehicle build schedules.
• Highlight potential component shortages or supplier delays in good time.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Quality to help resolve incoming material issues.
• Support changing production requirements and urgent purchasing needs when necessary.

Process Improvement

• Support the effective use of Business Central for purchasing and supplier information.
• Help improve purchasing processes, documentation and communication across departments.
• Contribute ideas to improve supplier delivery reliability, purchasing efficiency and material availability.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, technical buying or a similar role.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive or another technical industry would be advantageous.
• Basic understanding of technical drawings, component specifications or manufactured parts would be beneficial.
• Experience using ERP systems for purchasing activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel and managing multiple purchasing requirements.
• A practical approach to supplier communication and problem solving.
