Bavarian Nordic seeks a Purchaser, Direct Procurement to ensure reliable, cost-effective procurement of raw materials and direct packaging for our manufacturing site. The role is hands-on, cross-functional, and involves collaborating with Global Procurement in Switzerland to secure supply.

You will build supplier relationships, manage direct categories, and support the requisition-to-purchase process in Dynamics, aligning procurement with operational needs.

Competenze

• Experience with direct procurement in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment.
• Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems such as Dynamics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Danish and English.

The role involves close collaboration with Global Procurement in Switzerland and extensive cross-functional interaction with Production, Quality, and external suppliers to drive operational excellence and secure reliable supply. This is a fixed-term parental leave cover position until 31st December 2027.

You will join a team of eight dedicated purchasing colleagues covering both direct and indirect procurement for our manufacturing site. About the Role

As a Purchaser within Direct Procurement, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable and cost-effective procurement of raw materials to support our operations. This role is hands‑on and dynamic, and it offers a unique opportunity to work cross‑functionally, build supplier relationships, and contribute to procurement excellence across multiple direct categories.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and services to the site
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support operational continuity
• Identify and mitigate supply disruptions, quality issues, and supplier reliability risks
• Manage procurement activities across direct categories such as consumables, primary and secondary packaging
• Support the end-to-end requisition-to-purchase-order process in Dynamics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement with operational and business needs
• Evaluate supplier performance in alignment with internal policies
• Contribute to continuous improvement and procurement process standardization

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine you have:

• Experience with direct procurement or purchasing in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment
• Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g. Dynamics)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Structured, detail‑oriented approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced setting
• Full proficiency in Danish and English

Salary

Annual base salary range: DKK 530,000 to 620,000 gross. At Bavarian Nordic, we are committed to fair and transparent pay. The final base salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and competencies, as well as internal pay equity.

Please note that for this position, we do not support any relocation packages. Candidates must possess a legal basis to work and reside in Denmark.
