Job summary

ABB is seeking a Project Manager to lead service, upgrade, retrofit and modification projects in automation and control systems for the energy sector, production, and offshore industries in Denmark. You will own projects end-to-end, coordinating with customers, engineering teams and PM colleagues to ensure on-schedule delivery and value realization.

You will work from the Denmark office (Ballerup/Middelfart) with occasional travel, and a few remote work days.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of project management experience in technical, industrial or automation-related environments.
• Proven experience managing project financials, commercial risks and contractual obligations.
• Solid experience leading project teams and drive delivery towards agreed goals and milestones including experience with remote management.
• Experience working with customers and cross-functional stakeholders in complex project environments.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting and project execution methodologies.
• Experience delivering projects from tender phase through commissioning and handover.

Your role and tasks

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead service, upgrade, retrofit and modification projects within automation and control systems delivered to energy sector process- or offshore industry. In this role, you will take ownership of your own projects and play a key part in ensuring successful delivery for customers within either the energy sector, process- & production industry or to offshore clients (e.g. power plants, district heating facilities, waste incineration plants).

Working closely with customers, engineering teams and experienced project management colleagues, you will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning and coordination to execution and completion. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your project management career while gaining exposure to technically advanced solutions, customer collaboration and commercial project execution in an international organization. • Knowledge of automation, OT or industrial control systems, preferably within energy, process, power or offshore industries.
• Excellent communication skills in English and experience working with tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project or similar.

You will be based at our office in Ballerup/Middelfart, alongside your closest colleagues. In addition, we offer the possibility of working from home a few days a week. Since you support customers across Denmark, you can expect some time on the road, as well as occasional international travel - primarily to the other Nordic countries.
