Job summary

ABB Denmark is seeking a newly graduated Cyber Security Project Engineer to start a career in industrial cybersecurity and OT. You will design, secure, test, and maintain solutions for critical infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers.

Based at our office in Ballerup, you will work on Purdue model-based architectures, firewall configurations, and secure-by-design practices, with travel to customer sites as required.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education within IT, network engineering, cybersecurity, automation, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of network architecture, firewalls, switches, system hardening, or OT.
• Interest in industrial cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and secure-by-design principles.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and contribute to practical and reliable solutions.
• Willingness to work at customer sites where safety, quality, and continuous operation are essential.
• Skilled communication and the ability to collaborate with customers and colleagues across disciplines.
• Fluent Danish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Designing, securing, testing, and maintaining technical solutions for critical infrastructure.
• Supporting the design and hardening of system architectures according to the Purdue model.
• Identifying and resolving network issues affecting operational technology equipment.
• Configuring rules for firewalls and network switches with guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Supporting updates and patching of installed systems while equipment remains in operation.
• Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Preparing project documentation and updating engineering deliverables as built.
• Participating in project and customer meetings to follow up on technical issues.
• Using ABB engineering processes, checklists, and tools while sharing lessons learned with colleagues.
