IPG Photonics in Denmark is seeking a Project Manager to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. You will collaborate with optical, electrical, mechanical and software engineers to mature designs and develop assembly and test processes, handing off to Operations when the product can be manufactured with satisfactory yield.

The role requires delivering complex technical projects, leading cross-functional teams, and working in a manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical projects, ideally related to product development, maturation or technology transfer.
• Ability to lead technical specialists and facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and key decisions.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team.

As Project Manager in NPI you will work closely together with optical, electrical, mechanical and software engineers on maturing design and developing assembly and test processes. When the project has proven the product can be manufactured with satisfactory yield, it will be transferred to Operations, freeing up space and resources for the new next project.

What you will do

• Lead maturation and transfer projects of laser products.

• Be responsible for planning resource alignment, risk and change management, project reporting, and follow-up the gate process to ensure projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.

What you bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a technical background in one or more of the following areas: optics/photonics, electronics, or production engineering.

Essential

• Demonstrated experience delivering complex technical projects, ideally related to product development, product maturation, or technology transfer.
• Ability to effectively lead technical specialists and facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and key decision-making processes.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Communicate fluently in English and thrive in cross-functional, international teams.
