Job summary

EG in Aarhus, Denmark seeks a Product Owner to own the backlog, prioritise value, and align the development team with customer needs. Based in Aarhus, you will bridge customers, developers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets strategic goals and user needs.

You will work with the Product Manager and the global team, including colleagues in Ballerup and our India development unit, and you will collaborate in Danish and English to deliver smarter healthcare software.

Become a key person in product development

As our new Product Owner, you will play a key role in the development team. You own and develop the product backlog, act as the link between customers, developers, and stakeholders - and work closely with the Product Manager to ensure the product meets strategic goals and user needs. The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark, with close collaboration with colleagues in Ballerup and our development team in India.

Your Tasks: Owning the Backlog, Prioritising Value, and Driving Team Alignment

Your main responsibility is to understand and describe customer needs and to prioritize the development tasks that deliver the greatest value at any given time.

In addition, you will:

• Ensure your team understands what needs to be built – and why.
• Create and continuously update the product backlog.
• Prioritize tasks based on business value, user needs, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure that the backlog is clear, transparent, and easy for the team to understand.
• Translate needs and feedback into concrete requirements and improvements.
• Be available for clarifications and support in the development process.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, review and retrospective.
• Ensure your team has the right context and priorities.

• You have experience from organizations that develop software.
• Your curiosity drives you to constantly explore new ways to create efficient and sustainable solutions.
• You thrive both in teams and when you get to work independently.
• You are fluent in both Danish and English. You are a bridge builder with a keen eye for what creates value - and you prioritize to get there quickly.
• It is an advantage if you have relevant experience as a product owner.
• It is an advantage to have at least three years of relevant work experience.
• You are curious about AI and how it can be applied to strengthen and streamline the development process.
