Product Manager - Beef X Dairy (BxD)
Do you want to play a key role in developing the future value chain within Beef x Dairy? Are you passionate about cattle breeding and motivated by working at the intersection of production, genetics, and commercial development?
Then you might be our new Product Manager for Beef x Dairy (BxD).
As Product Manager for BxD, you will be a key driver in developing and expanding our Beef x Dairy concept across Denmark, Sweden, Finland and internationally. You will take on a broad role combining strategic and operational responsibilities, working closely with colleagues, customers, and value chain partners.
You will report to our Chief Breeding Officer and be part of a dedicated team focusing on both Dairy and BxD. You will collaborate closely with breeding advisors and colleagues responsible for:
- Beef bull portfolio
- Semen production
- Breeding programs
Your main tasks will be:
- Coordinate the BxD Breed Ambassador group across the Nordic countries. This is a group of elected cattle farmers setting direction for the BxD segment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the value chain, including:
- Slaughterhouses
- Customers of the BxD product
- Slaughter calf producers
- Beef producers feeding BxD animals
- Participate in relevant working groups to increase BxD awareness and performance.
- Drive a clear BxD focus and commitment across the organization.
- Support sales activities in both home markets and export markets.
- Develop a system for insemination proposals for high-ranking females.
- Maintain close contact with beef breeders.
- Host and manage visits from national and international stakeholders.
- Travel activity must be expected.
Workplace:
Assentoft (Denmark), Sweden or Finland
Your qualifications:
- Hold a relevant degree such as Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Economist, Agronomist, or similar.
- Have practical experience from the cattle sector or advisory services.
- Have a basic understanding of quantitative genetics.
- Knowledge of national breeding structures is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, written and spoken, in English and a Nordic language.
- Outgoing and comfortable working with breeders and stakeholders.
- Structured, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- A team player who also works independently.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
