Job summary

VikingGenetics is seeking a Breeding Specialist & Junior Product Manager for VikingJersey (VJ). Based in Assentoft near Randers, Denmark, you will work with our Senior PM to grow skills in breeding, product management, and international collaboration.

You will report to the Chief Breeding Officer and join an international team focused on VikingJersey genetics, supporting customers and breeders with mating plans, portfolio management, and social media-ready bull information.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Technology, or similar.
• Experience from the cattle sector is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of cattle breeding and quantitative genetics.
• Strong communication skills in English and Danish.
• Structured, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Comfortable working with breeders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the VikingJersey bull portfolio
• Plan semen production and manage semen stocks
• Participate in selection bulls for home and international markets
• Support sales and breeding advisory activities
• Prepare bull information for web and social media
• Maintain breeder contacts and follow up on bull dams
• Collaborate with European breeding scheme partners

VikingGenetics is looking for a Breeding Specialist & Junior Product Manager – VikingJersey (VJ). Working closely with our Senior Product Manager, you will develop your skills within breeding, product management, and international collaboration.

Reporting to the Chief Breeding Officer, you will become part of an international breeding team focused on developing and supporting VikingJersey genetics.
