Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Product Cybersecurity Architect to drive secure design across industrial product ranges. You will provide architecture expertise, develop standards, and align with ISA/IEC 62443, CRA, NIS2, and other requirements.

Join an international team to influence product roadmaps and guide development to embed security by design from proposals to delivery, ensuring resilient, compliant, and safe solutions across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, engineering or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in cybersecurity, product security or OT cybersecurity in an architect/lead role.
• Excellent technical security knowledge based on standards and best practices.
• Experience with OT cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, ISO 27001).
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture reviews.

A Snapshot of Your Day

For our Product Cybersecurity department, we are looking for an experienced, highly skilled and motivated Product Cybersecurity Architect to drive the definition and implementation of solution-wide security across exciting industrial product ranges. In this role, you will provide cybersecurity architecture expertise across multiple product and engineering domains, contribute to the development of cybersecurity standards and architectural principles, and work closely with development teams to strengthen the security and resilience of our products and solutions.

You will be part of Product Cybersecurity department, an international team of cybersecurity professionals united by a shared mission: enabling secure digitalization and ensuring that cybersecurity is built into products and solutions by design.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Define and maintain overall cybersecurity architectural framework for products and solutions
• Establish and maintain cybersecurity principles, standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and secure development practices aligned with industry standards.
• Translate business, regulatory, and customer requirements into secure and scalable architectural solutions.
• Drive the adoption of Secure-by-Design principles and practices across products, solutions, and engineering processes.
• Facilitate cybersecurity architecture and design reviews, ensuring alignment with secure-by-design principles and organizational security objectives.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance on design and implementation to product development teams.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments at component, system, and solution levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements into product roadmaps, development processes, and engineering practices.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise and advisory support throughout customer projects, from proposal and design phases through implementation and delivery.
• Support cybersecurity certification, compliance, and assessment activities, including alignment with ISA/IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), NIS2, and other applicable requirements.

What You Bring

• An academic degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in cybersecurity, product security, or OT cybersecurity in an architect, lead specialist, or similar role.
• Excellent technical security knowledge based on cybersecurity standards and good practices.
• Experience with widely recognized OT cybersecurity standards, including ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and ISO 27001.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture reviews.
• Experience with SCADA systems, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and industrial communication networks.
• Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration security.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and architecture.
• Understanding of AI-driven cybersecurity, including the use of AI in both offensive and defensive security contexts, and its implications for product security, threat detection, and secure system architecture.
• Fluency in English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

You are an ideal candidate, if you have:

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert.
• Knowledge of security and enterprise architecture frameworks such as SABSA and TOGAF.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to OT and connected products, including NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and NERC CIP.
• Experience with software supply chain security, SBOM governance, and vulnerability management processes.

The team works closely with product owners, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define security principles, provide practical guidance, and support the implementation of scalable security solutions across the product lifecycle.
