Job summary

Alfa Laval in Denmark is seeking a Product Compliance Manager to ensure membrane products meet regulatory and industry requirements across markets. You will lead strategies, coordinate testing and approvals, and guide teams on compliance best practices.

The role requires 5–10 years in product compliance, a master's degree in a relevant field, and strong English. Hybrid work from Søborg with about 25–30 travel days per year is offered.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in product compliance or regulatory affairs.
  • Master's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • PhD is an advantage.
  • Experience with testing, certification, and approval across markets.
  • Experience coordinating compliance projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Food Contact Material Regulations (EU/US/China/Japan), REACH, USDA, CE, RoHS, and cyber security requirements.
  • Pharma requirements knowledge is a plus.
  • Membrane industry experience is an advantage.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance strategies for new and existing products.
  • Monitor legislation, standards, and regulatory developments and assess impact on membrane products.
  • Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate product testing, certification, and approval activities.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation including certificates and declarations.
  • Ensure products meet entry and ongoing market requirements.
  • Provide guidance on compliance requirements to teams across the organization.
  • Work with regulatory authorities, third-party laboratories, certification bodies, and customers.
  • Lead compliance-related projects to strengthen processes and ways of working.

About The Job

As our new Product Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that Alfa Laval's membrane products meet relevant regulatory, legal, and industry requirements across the markets where we operate.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies for new and existing products.
  • Where relevant, monitor legislation, standards, and regulatory developments and assess their impact on our membrane products.
  • Identify compliance risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate product testing, certification, and approval activities.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain compliance documentation, including certificates, declarations, and technical files.
  • Ensure products meet the requirements needed to enter and remain in target markets.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams across the organization on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Work with regulatory authorities, third-party laboratories, certification bodies, and customers.
  • Lead compliance-related projects and initiatives to strengthen our processes and ways of working.
What You Know
  • You bring 5-10 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, , or a related field, preferably within a regulated industry such as food or pharma.
  • You have a master's degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A PhD is an advantage.
  • You have proven experience with product testing, certification, and approval processes across different markets.
  • You have experience managing compliance-related projects and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • You have strong experience and knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks such as Food Contact Material Regulations (EU, USA, China, Japan) REACH, , USDA, CE, RoHS, and cyber security requirements.
  • Knowledge in pharma requirements is a plus.
  • Experience within the membrane industry is an advantage.
  • You have full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
