Job purpose: The Procurement Services Manager will develop and maintain a strategic framework for identifying and prioritizing procurement services projects. This role involves analyzing opportunities, engaging with UNICEF Regional and Country Offices through workshops and correspondence, and initiating new projects with HQ, RO/CO, and customers via innovative partnerships. The manager will also develop a system for monitoring progress and results, proposing corrective actions as needed. Additionally, they will develop and implement communication and advocacy strategies for Procurement Services, including managing promotional materials and customer databases. A key aspect is ensuring the development and maintenance of the Procurement Services site usability and functionality, implementing e-procurement in line with UNICEF strategy, and leveraging the internet for strategic communication.
Develop and maintain a strategic framework for the identification of procurement services projects. Analyze and prioritize Procurement Services activities. Share and engage in opportunities with UNICEF Regional Offices and Country Offices (RO/CO) through joint training and orientation workshops, visits, and correspondence. Initiate new Procurement Services projects jointly with UNICEF HQ and RO/CO and customers, through innovative partnerships at the conceptual stage. Develop a system for progress and results monitoring and propose corrective action when needed. Develop communication and advocacy strategies and plans for Procurement Services. Coordinate and implement communication plans, including brochures, infosheets, PowerPoint presentations, Internet content, presentation kits, promotional letters, and customer database management. Ensure the development and maintenance of the Procurement Services site usability and functionality. Ensure the development of web applications for cost estimates. Implement e-procurement in accordance with UNICEF strategy. Take advantage of the internet for strategic communication. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement service excellence and expand UNICEF's reach in supporting children’s rights.
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Business Administration, Management, or any other related field.
8 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in marketing or leading customer-service teams or a related field, with 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in managing large, multi-stakeholder projects.
