Job summary

Aleta in Aarhus is seeking a Principal Engineer to own the platform’s technical direction for its AI-first wealth platform. You’ll define standards, own the data model, and lead a deliberately small team with no people-management duties.

You will collaborate directly with the two founders to shape the Rust-based calculation engine, monitoring, and end-to-end engineering workflows. Based in or near Aarhus, you’ll influence both product and tech decisions with immediate impact.

Qualifications

AI as the primary engineering method with strong hands-on implementation.
Ability to debug from symptoms to root cause using logs and metrics.
Pragmatic, with strong judgement on what must be perfect vs. what must ship.
Interest in financial data and fintech domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own architecture, data model and technical direction for the platform.
Own the calculation engine (Rust) and where correctness matters most.
Drive monitoring, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across the stack.
Enforce and evolve engineering conventions and agent workflows.
Guide the engineering team through technical decisions and hiring considerations.
