We are looking for a Power Electronics Lead Engineer to join our R&D team in Kolding, Denmark. You will bring expertise to drive the development of our next generation of solutions and a passion for continuous learning. Alongside technical expertise, you will build relationships with stakeholders.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop UPS and large kVA 3ph converters as part of our global R&D team
- Lead R&D activities in your domain, including electronic subassembly design (schematics, PCB layout) and testing
- Take end-to-end ownership of the design from early design phase, collaborating with firmware, mechanical, electrical, verification, and validation experts
- Ensure that designed products meet safety, functional and cost requirements
- Own design for safety, reliability and cost activities
- Support sales, marketing, manufacturing and technical support in solving customer needs and issues
- Be involved in defined projects/squads, ensuring objectives are met and within budget
- Assess trade-offs between business needs, technology requirements, cost and risk
- Contribute to our innovation and secure patents for innovative ideas
- Develop your power electronics practices and competencies to reach a technical expertise level
What will help you succeed:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering (power electronics preferred)
- Experience with project management practices is a plus
- Proven experience in power electronics and product development for series production
- Strong knowledge of 3‑phase and DC power conversion, including inverters and PCBA design
- Experience with cross‑functional collaboration and global manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English language
