Job summary

DTU – Technical University of Denmark, through the BRIGHT Institute, invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in Yeast Metabolic Engineering. The project focuses on designing microbial foods using engineered yeasts, combining fermentation technologies, analytics, and ML to create sustainable meat alternatives.

The successful candidate will design experiments, analyze data, publish results, and present at international conferences.

Qualifications

• PhD in biotechnology, microbiology or similar.
• Scientifically curious, creative and result-oriented.
• Hands-on experience with metabolic engineering of yeasts.
• Team player and thrive in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent command of English and strong scientific writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and carry out experiments; analyze data and publish results.
• Present findings at international conferences.
• Contribute to teaching MSc/BSc courses and supervising students.
• Collaborate with the Yeast Metabolic Engineering group and BRIGHT Institute.
