Job summary

Aarhus University, Department of Biomedicine, invites applications for a fixed-term Postdoc in developmental neuroscience starting 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The 24‑month position is designed for independent high‑quality research in a diverse, international environment.

You will investigate neuropeptide signaling on limbic circuit maturation in mouse models, contribute to teaching, and publish your findings. Supervision by Associate Professor Asami Tanimura is provided.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience or related field.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in developmental neuroscience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct high-quality neuroscience research.
• Perform stereotaxic surgery with neonatal mice.
• Record whole-cell patch clamp data and in vivo imaging.
• Contribute to teaching activities and departmental activities.
• Assist in grant writing and dissemination of results.
