Job summary

University of Copenhagen is seeking a computational peptide design postdoctoral researcher to develop de novo peptide shuttles for brain delivery in ischemic stroke. The role involves integrating omics data, molecular modelling and in‑house methods within the DSDD group at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology.

You will work closely with experimentalists to refine peptide sequences, transport properties and stability, contributing to translational design from computation to biology

Qualifications

  • PhD in computational chemistry, biology, bioinformatics, biophysics, data science or related field.
  • Experience with computational design or modelling of peptides, proteins or other biomolecules.
  • Proficient programming in Python with code versioning using Git/GitHub and reproducible workflows.
  • Strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply peptide design workflows and predictive models.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists to guide synthesis and validation of designs.
  • Present results in internal meetings and at international conferences.
