Job summary

DTU Bioengineering in Lyngby, Denmark seeks a computational postdoctoral researcher to design next-generation mammalian cell lines for biotherapeutic production. You will drive in silico pathway design and integrate multi-omics data to guide experimental engineering and reduce production costs.

You will lead manuscript preparation, present at international conferences, and mentor students; a PhD is required and excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience with mammalian genome-scale metabolic models and constraint-based modeling (e.g., COBRApy).
  • Proficiency in multi-omics data analysis to extract actionable biological insights.
  • Experience with structural bioinformatics, molecular docking, or cheminformatics for predicting protein interactions.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, R) and familiarity with Git.
  • Evidence of high-impact publications with first-author status.
  • Excellent English communication for interdisciplinary audiences.
  • Experience mentoring PhD/MSc/BSc students in mammalian cell culture and genetic engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Pathway design and metabolic modeling using genome-scale models; integrate experimental data to refine targets.
  • Multiomic target discovery to identify bottlenecks and engineering targets.
  • Model protein-metabolite interactions and assess inhibitory interactions.
  • Lead manuscript preparation and present findings at international conferences.
  • Mentor PhD, MSc, and BSc students in the group.
