Job summary

DTU Electrical and Photonics Engineering (DTU Electro) invites applications for a 34-month research position in robotics, control and AI. You will develop hierarchical control architectures for soft robotic platforms and validate ideas on real systems.

The role is hosted within the Control, Robotics and Embodied AI (CREA) Group, collaborating with national and international partners to advance fundamental research and its practical validation.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Experience in robotics and control systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
  • Experience with robotics software frameworks (ROS) and simulation environments.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and publish results.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Design hierarchical control architectures for soft robotic platforms
  • Implement neuro-inspired computational approaches, including spiking neural networks
  • Validate algorithms in simulation and on real robotic systems
  • Contribute to integration across control, AI, and reinforcement learning
  • Disseminate research results through high-impact journals and conferences
  • Collaborate with national and international project partners
  • Participate in NRT-Lab activities and supervise student projects
