Job summary

The Department of Environmental Science at Aarhus University invites applications for a 2‑year PostDoc position focusing on aerobiological modelling. You will develop and extend numerical models for bioaerosols, pollen and fungal spores, and integrate real‑time data using WRF‑Chem.

Qualifications

  • PhD in environmental science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering or similar.
  • Experience collaborating and presenting at international conferences; leading manuscripts in peer‑reviewed journals.
  • Understanding of atmosphere and its modelling is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend WRF-Chem for bioaerosols, pollen and fungal spores.
  • Dynamically integrate near real-time data into WRF-Chem.
  • Develop ML models using Poleno Jupiter data and Python.
  • Implement grass pollen species and key fungal spores in models.
  • Disseminate results via manuscripts and conference contributions.
