Job summary

The Faculty of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University invites applications for a Postdoc position in sodium-ion battery state estimation. Based at Aalborg campus, you will join the Batteries group within Mechatronic Systems to advance BMS concepts and state estimation for sodium-ion cells.

You will perform both independent and collaborative research, develop estimation algorithms, contribute to publications, and possibly supervise students.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrochemistry or closely related field.
  • Research focus on battery state estimation; experience with battery modeling and algorithms.
  • Experience with Open Circuit Voltage, Kalman filtering, and data-driven methods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on battery state estimation for sodium-ion technology.
  • Develop and test algorithms for estimating charge, health, and power; robust to operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal groups and external partners; publish in journals and present at conferences.
