Job summary

AAU Energy in Aalborg is inviting applications for a Postdoc position focused on state estimation for sodium-ion batteries. The appointment runs for 20 months and is based at Aalborg University’s campus in Aalborg.

You will join the Batteries group in the Mechatronic Systems section, contributing to applied battery research and developing methods for estimating charge, health and power in sodium-ion systems.

Qualifications

  • PhD level qualifications in a relevant field with a research focus on battery state estimation.
  • Experience with battery EC model development and estimation algorithms.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and experimental lab work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on battery state estimation for sodium-ion technology.
  • Design and execute studies, analyze data, and publish results.
  • Collaborate with internal groups and external partners; contribute to teaching if needed.
