Job summary

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in computational microscopy, starting on 1 March 2027. Hosted by the IMAGE section and funded by the Villum Foundation, the project aims to develop computational methods to extract 3D information from microscopy images.

We seek a motivated scientist with a PhD in computer science or physics, strong programming and numerical skills, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent required in CS or physics.
• Strong programming and research software development skills.
• Solid background in numerical methods or scientific computing.
• Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate across disciplines.
• Willingness to learn basic microscopy and acquire experimental data.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
