Job summary

The Department of Computer Science (DIKU), University of Copenhagen, invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in computational microscopy, starting on 1 March 2027. The position is funded by the Villum Foundation through the Villum Experiment programme, hosted by the IMAGE section in Copenhagen.

We seek a highly motivated scientist with a PhD and strong programming skills to develop computational methods for 3D information from microscopy data, collaborating across disciplines

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or physics or a closely related field.
• Strong programming and software development experience.
• Solid quantitative background in numerical methods or scientific computing.
• Ability to conduct independent research and collaborate across disciplines.
• Willingness to learn basic microscopy.

Responsibilities

• Develop computational methods to extract 3D information from microscopy images.
