Alfa Laval Corporate AB in Søborg (Denmark) seeks a Portfolio Manager to drive technology in the water portfolio, including ALDrum, digital services and systems solutions, balancing service and capital sales.
You will lead cross‑functional teams, shape the portfolio roadmap, and manage lifecycle with regulatory alignment. The role requires ~30–40 travel days per year in a hybrid work setup. This position partners with R&D, Capital/Sales, and Service teams to deliver growth and value.
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact: on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we're pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for driving different technologies in the water portfolio, which we expect to grow consistently in the next years: ALDrum (rotating drum thickener), digital services and systems solutions, all from both a Service and Capital Sales standpoint. Your role includes driving development, maintenance, and optimization of a competitive portfolio aligned with customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements, in close cooperation with the sales and engineering teams. You will work collaboratively across teams to ensure the portfolio’s strategic direction and operational success.
At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based at our Søborg (Denmark) office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30-40 days per year.
You bring, or can build, a strong understanding of customer needs, industry dynamics, and regulatory environments, particularly within the Municipal and Industrial Wastewater treatment industries. You are comfortable working in complex industrial settings and translating market insights and technical understanding into actionable portfolio and business strategies that support growth and value creation.
You are a proactive and strategic leader who thrives in complex, dynamic environments where multiple priorities need to be balanced. You have a strong ability to focus on what matters most in each period, while working across a broad range of topics, from strategy and portfolio management to quality, supply chain, and competence development. You know when to take ownership and when to collaborate with others to ensure the best outcome for the portfolio.
You are a natural relationship builder who easily creates trust and alignment across a wide range of stakeholders, both within the Business Unit Water, Industrial Flow & Heat Transfer Technologies
and across other business units. With a problem‑solving mindset and strong focus on results, you navigate complexity with confidence and deliver measurable impact. You are known for being reliable, proactive, collaborative, courageous, altruistic, and creative.
