Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S seeks an IT System Engineer for PLC Engineering and API DEV/VAL systems in Denmark. You will own lifecycle, operations, and compliance for Siemens-based PLC platforms across API, ensuring stability as new production comes online and supporting global projects.

You will work with cross-functional teams in a regulated pharma environment, manage incidents, changes, and documentation, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Cybersecurity, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree welcomed but not required; a bachelor's with relevant experience is valued.
• Experience with IT system engineering, infrastructure, platform operations, or technical service ownership.
• Hands-on with systems and platforms, e.g., patching a server or updating a VMware client.
• Experience in heavily regulated environments (pharma, energy, finance or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management with cross-level engagement.
• Self-directed, extroverted, primary owner of systems.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of your systems – implementation, operation, maintenance, upgrades, periodic review and decommissioning.
• Keep the Siemens PLC Engineering platform and DEV/VAL environments stable, secure and compliant, handling patching, monitoring, backup, access and vulnerabilities.
• Plan changes, follow up on incidents and requests, and execute technical tasks.
• Engage automation teams and support the large global project engagements, ensuring new work is validated and compliant.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and contribute to validation, impact assessments and change controls.
• Act as the primary IT contact for Automation, Engineering, Quality, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and external vendors.
