You will design and maintain backend services, ensure reliability, observability, and secure data handling, with end-to-end ownership and a product mindset for developer experience.

Qualifications

Senior backend or platform engineer with ownership of shared services at scale.
Hands-on deployment and debugging of services on Kubernetes in production.
Experience designing MySQL schemas for production and migrations.
Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ) and event-driven patterns.

Responsibilities

Own the shared application platform and its core backend services.
Design reliable, observable payment flows and provider integrations.
Own identity, authorisation, and token management with secure, scalable patterns.
Integrate security, privacy controls, GDPR, and ISO 27001 in the app layer.
Improve developer experience with libraries and internal tooling.
