Job summary

DTU in Denmark seeks a PhD candidate to advance AI-assisted Systems Engineering. You will design and validate an AI assistant that reasons over SysML 2.0 models, turning rigorous engineering practices into affordable processes for teams.

Work with industry partners, publish research, and supervise student projects. The appointment is for 3 years, full-time, with enrolment in a DTU degree program. Location: Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.

Qualifications

  • Two-year master's degree or equivalent at academic level.
  • Experience in systems engineering and AI-based solutions is desirable.
  • Ability to formalise knowledge into machine-readable models.

Responsibilities

  • Design and validate an AI assistant that creates and reasons over SysML 2.0 system models.
  • Formalise engineering knowledge (requirements, architecture, verification) into machine-readable models.
  • Evaluate methods on real engineering cases with industry partners.
  • Work with the lab's local AI compute and validated model stack.
  • Publish in leading journals and conferences in engineering design and Systems Engineering.
  • Assist in teaching and supervise BSc and MSc student projects.
  • Contribute to building up the new Lab.
