Job summary

DTU Physics invites applications for a PhD position focusing on experimental quantum materials at the interface of 2D materials, nanofabrication and quantum transport. You will develop device platforms that connect electronic transport with structural probes (TEM, AFM, nanoARPES) and collaborate across DTU Physics, DTU NanoLab and external partners.

The project combines hands-on fabrication with advanced measurements, with supervision from DTU Physics and DTU NanoLab; starting date around 1

Qualifications

  • You have hands-on experience with microfabrication or nanofabrication and experimental device work.
  • You can connect electronic transport measurements with structural characterization.
  • You meet the two-year Master’s degree requirement or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate chip architectures for quantum devices with embedded contacts.
  • Develop transfer/stacking processes for graphene and related 2D materials.
  • Carry out electronic transport measurements and correlate with TEM/AFM data.
  • Develop sample platforms for nanoARPES with external collaborators.
  • Establish reproducible fabrication and measurement protocols and analyze data.
