Job summary

Technical University Of Denmark invites applications for a PhD position focusing on engineered quantum materials. You will develop device platforms combining electrical transport with structural probes such as TEM, AFM, and nanoARPES, collaborating with DTU Physics, DTU NanoLab and external partners.

You should have hands-on microfabrication experience and a strong background in condensed matter physics, nanoscience or materials science.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a two-year master's degree or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with microfabrication or nanofabrication and device work.
  • Strong data analysis, troubleshooting and lab practices are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and fabricate chip architectures for quantum devices with embedded contacts.
  • Develop transfer and stacking processes for graphene, hBN and related materials.
  • Create device geometries for low-temperature transport and related probes.
  • Perform electronic transport measurements and correlate with TEM/AFM results.
  • Develop open-surface platforms for nanoARPES with external partners.
  • Establish reproducible fabrication and measurement protocols and analyze data.
