The University of Copenhagen’s Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences invites applications for a PhD fellowship in Veterinary Virology starting 1 February 2027. The project focuses on cross-reactive vaccines for swine influenza A virus, with immunological assays and vaccine-strain testing in pigs, then field trials.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Positive academic evaluation and the best qualified for the position.
• Curiosity and strong interest in veterinary virology and related language skills.

Responsabilidades

• Carry through an independent research project under supervision.
• Complete PhD courses or education equivalent to ~30 ECTS.
• Participate in active research environments including stays at other teams.
• Obtain experience with teaching or dissemination related to the PhD project.
• Teach and disseminate your knowledge.
• Write a PhD thesis based on your project.
