Job summary

University of Copenhagen invites applications for a three-year PhD fellowship in protein dynamics within the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology. Start: Feb 1, 2027, or soon after. The project bridges protein chemistry, mass spectrometry, SAXS, and biophysical methods to advance drug discovery.

The successful candidate will work under supervision of Petrine Wellendorph and collaborators in a highly integrated, international research setting. Salary follows Danish pay scales with pension.

Qualifications

• Experimental scientist with a focus on protein chemistry and mass spectrometry.
• Experience with HDX-MS and biophysical techniques.
• Strong collaborative and interdisciplinary research skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out an independent research project under supervision.
• Complete PhD courses (~30 ECTS).
• Participate in active research environments, including stays abroad.
• Gain teaching or dissemination experience related to the PhD project.
• Teach undergraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences.
• Write a PhD thesis based on the project.
